Updated: is launching its co-op action role-playing game “” on consoles later this year and moving the title to the, but players will get to migrate their accounts sooner, the studio announced on Wednesday.Although Phoenix Labs didn’t give an exact date for the account migrations, it said players can soon manage their “Dauntless” accounts through the Epic Games Store patcher and secure their account names there. It’s an opt-in process, which means no one will have their accounts linked without their permission. The studio also said it’s not sharing personal information with Epic Games. “People who opt-in will use an email and password to login, and whether that’s the email they use for ‘Dauntless’ or not it won’t affect the linking process,” a spokesperson told Variety via email. This migration is part of the studio’s plans to turn “Dauntless” into a unified, cross-play experience across PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in April. It will also integrate mobile and Nintendo Switch later this year. For now, players should continue logging in and playing via the existing “Dauntless” patcher, Phoenix Labs said.
Dauntless will be available for PC through the Epic Games Store soon as plans to retire the games standalone launcher later this year are revealed alongside migration plans.
But, that patcher will be retired in the coming months as the title moves to the Epic Games Store. Player progress will carry over as well, so people can seamlessly continue their adventures regardless of platform.Phoenix Labs also launched the Dauntless Hunt Pass Season Two this week alongside a Valentine’s Day-themed event. The new season offers two reward tracks — a free one and a 1,000 platinum Elite one. Both have 50 levels and reward players with Ace chips, notes, exclusive transmogs, and more. Advancing through those levels is now easier thanks to an increase in experience when breaking Behemoth parts. Season Two has been extended to nearly 45 days total, the developer said, which should give players plenty of time to hit the level cap.

What you'll need to do is log onto the epic games site using your PSN credentials and you'll be asked to complete the account creation process by asking you to enter your information. Be sure to use a completely different user name and email address than your main epic games account. After you do that and verify the account, email and what not for this new epic account, go into the 'Connected Accounts' section and disconnect your your PSN from it. It will ask you for confirmation with 2 factor stuff and go through a whole process by sending verification emails.
So make sure you have access to the email you used by creating the account.Once you've successfully disconnected your PSN account from that newly created Epic Games account. You can now log out of this one and log back in using your main epic games account (the one you actually want to link your PSN account with).Go into the 'Connected Accounts' section again and just connect your PSN account. Should be mostly painless and straight forward from this point on.Verify you're able to continue playing with your PC created character and log in to Epic with your PS4.
You'll know everything is all good when it shows the correct usernames in Dauntless for both your Epic account as well as your PSN account in the lower left hand corner on the title screen. At this point I would just log back into that newly created account and delete it under the account page. You should be good to go now. Hope this helped. The short answer is yes and no.
The long answer is, If you’ve never had an epic games account, just sign into Epicgames.com with PSN and finish the account creation process and you’ll be able to continue where you left off. Otherwise, if you weren’t initially able to sign into your epic games account with your PS4 you’ll have to follow the steps I stated previously to connect your PSN to your main epic games account. But be warned, you’ll likely lose any progress you’ve had on the PS4 character if you have to disconnect your PSN account to that ghost account. As it is now, it doesn’t look like you’ll be able to transfer an already existing character data from a ghost epic games account to a main epic account.(Edited for further clarification and later realizations when trying to help someone). So I know this is very old now, but it appears that my particular situation has not been addressed.
I would love any insight you are able to offer.I have an epic games account. I made a dauntless account on my PS4 not linked to my epic account. Now I'm trying to link my epic account to the PS4 one so that I can play on PC. When I started up Dauntless on my PC and get to the Link account part, and I follow the link and enter my email and password (I've tried for both my epic account and my PSN account) it says there is no dauntless account registered with that email.account is still fully active and able to auto log in and out on PS4, any ideas?.
